Thought for Monday 8th August

Galatians 6:2

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfil the law of Christ.”

This is not only about Christian charity - helping the needy. It is also about realising that when we relieve another’s burden, we reduce the stress and strain which prompt some people to sin. Poverty and crime are linked; and so are injustice and violence.

Reflection: What burden has been lifted from you, by Christ? And whose burden do you help to carry?
