"Go, then, to all peoples, everywhere... you will be witnesses for me to the ends of the earth."
Jesus of Nazareth, c 30 AD
"We are a living and faithful presence for Jesus Christ through Europe and beyond, witnessing from places of need to corridors of power, and offering a spiritual home to all people.
"International Presbytery, 2016 AD

(from Rev E. Foggitt)
1 Corinthians 12:10
“...to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the discernment of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.”
Argument still rages over whether miracles, prophecy, tongues etc are active today.
The best (balanced) book on this subject is perhaps by Wayne Grudem, “Are miraculous gifts for today?” (1996) The topic calls for wisdom, grace and love.
Reflection : Are you open to the possibility that God might act “miraculously” through you - giving you precisely the right word in a difficult situation, or speaking the truth bravely to people in power?
