"Go, then, to all peoples, everywhere... you will be witnesses for me to the ends of the earth."
Jesus of Nazareth, c 30 AD
"We are a living and faithful presence for Jesus Christ through Europe and beyond, witnessing from places of need to corridors of power, and offering a spiritual home to all people.

Thought for Monday 3rd August
(from Rev E. Foggitt)
“ Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.”
The psalm began with “you have searched me” - God has studied him and come, deeply and lovingly, to know him. But it ends with this expression of vulnerable trust: “search me”. It isn’t, as some might imagine, arrogant or proud: rather it is a yearning for a greater closeness to God and more holiness.
Reflection: Jeremy Troxler wrote: “This is the God for whom there are no anonymous sheep, to whom nobody is a write-off, for whom no one is lost in the crowd.” Knowing this, do you dare to make these two verses your personal prayer, today?
